Yesterday went Sabiha and I to the big Show in Arnhem. It was a wonderful Show and we found beautiful things that we buy. First the things for the "Zaanse huisje" Wooden shoes, they are 0.3 inches, sooooo little!!! A Cologne pot ( Keulse pot) every former household in the Netherland had one for the salt. Furniture for the "Zaanse huisje" I must paint it, make it old and do some changes.
We meet Sylvia from: http://lutjeboudel.punt.nl/ and she give us the beautiful lanternworkshop, it was so nice to finally meet her and she have so much wonderful workshops.
For the big house 1:12 scale, blue/grey enamel ( real enamel)
The Spring has arrived, so I was sitting in the garden and make some minis. Because there was some wind, it was not possible to work at the "Zaanse Huisje".
I made a bed 1:12, I don't know if I keep it or sell it. But I am satisfied!
I made some pitchers scale 1:12 and 1:24 2.3 cm (0.9 inches) and 1.6 cm ( 0.6 inches) In a while I put them on etsy, if someone is interested send me a email
This afternoon I found a beautiful package from http://christeljensen.blogspot.com/ in my mailbox!! I send her last week something and she want to give me something in return. Thank you so much, I am very happy with it!!!
I made the "Bedstee" ( translation is cupboardbed) It's a bit strange 1:24 scale, but I am getting used at it. I don't no if other country's had the same, but in former years the parents sleep in the cupboardbed in the kitchen ( at farms and also the "Zaanse huisjes")
The making of....
Her you can see the little cradle standing on a shelf, I can't imagine that people sleep like this.
Emma and Neil from http://parisminiatures.blogspot.com/ had a giveaway. Yesterday I receive the cake I won, it's so beautiful!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!
My new project, a major challenge!!!! One of my son's live in a part of the Netherlands where these houses are. Some of you that visit my country have probably see the "Zaanse schans" Beautiful little houses in green and white. My son gave me a building plan for a "Zaans huisje" in 1:24 scale. My father was so kind to saw it for me ( I hate that part) So the challenge is 1:24 scale and in GREEN!!! The most of you know that my color is BLUE!! The floor downstairs:
Tiles are ready ( and also a bit dirty LOL) The other is the floor upstairs, that one I must make a bit older
